Tucson based landscape photographer, Shane McMurphy, has been developing his photography skills since 2009.

Shane originally got into photography as an escape from his day job as an Emergency Department Nurse. To this day, photography continues to be a creative outlet in his ongoing nursing career.

This outlet has allowed Shane the time to travel extensively though California, Arizona, and Europe amassing multiple opportunities to create landscape photographs in his own self-taught style.

Shane’s photography style is influenced by not only Ansel Adams and the Group f/64, but also by the romantic 19th century landscape painters.

Starting with digital photography, Shane has recently expanded his work to include exploring medium format analog photography. His recent work in film has been created using his new to him Mamiya RB67. This new creative experience has been a learning opportunity, but has allowed him to explore the wonderful world of analog photography.

It is though those influences and explorations that Shane creates the photographs that you see today.
